River Walk Staple, Ácenar, Joins Downtown Thursdays with Exclusive Summer Specials
As Downtown Thursdays returns to San Antonio this summer, River Walk staple Ácenar HotMex & Coolbar is joining the citywide initiative with exclusive food and drink specials available from June 4 through August 27.
Downtown Thursdays – Encourage People to Explore Downtown
Designed to encourage locals and visitors to explore downtown after hours, the summer-long program features live entertainment, cultural experiences, food and drink specials, family-friendly activities and complimentary parking at city-owned facilities.
Ácenar Downtown Thursdays – All-Day Happy Hour Specials
While exploring downtown’s weekly block parties, live entertainment and complimentary parking opportunities, locals and visitors alike can stop by Ácenar to enjoy all-day happy hour specials in the bar area, along with a complimentary dessert for the table with the purchase of an entrée.

Outside of the Downtown Thursdays limited-time offerings, the eatery also invites guests to enjoy its weekly Happy Hour, available Sunday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and nightly from 9 p.m. to close.
Highlights include shareable favorites for $8.50, handcrafted margaritas and house-made sangria for $7.50, as well as specially priced beer and wine, all served in the heart of downtown San Antonio.
