David Jimenez: South Texas Soul
Tickets available HERE.
Texas-based guitarist and singer-songwriter David Jimenez makes his home in Austin, TX, but was raised in Harlingen, a border town deep in the Rio Grande Valley. While for years he has been known primarily as one of Austin’s premier guitar-slinging hired guns, with his upcoming debut solo album, Sleep On It, he is stepping to center stage for the first time. David was raised as and remains the youngest boy out of both sides of his mom and dad’s expansive families, making him the last in the family line to bear his patriarchal name. That made for an easy choice when deciding on a name for his solo project, The Last Jimenez—both an homage to his family line and an emphasis on his move to stand on his own as a solo artist. David often refers to his genre of music as “resaca pop”—a callback to the strange bodies of water that are specific only to the valley where he was raised. When the Rio Grande overflows during rainy seasons, its borders push into the surrounding landscape. Once drought conditions come around again, the river recedes, cutting off these “resacas” and abandoning them to flourish on their own—with autonomous ecosystems that include alligators, exotic birds, and other teeming forms of life that flourish in the leftover brackish water. In his own way, David is much like the “resacas” himself, and the music of The Last Jimenez is a reflection of that. While he is isolated from the place he grew up, its influence remains, adding to the combination of elements that allow for something entirely original to form.

David will be joined by fellow songwriters Jennifer Foster and Caroline Hale.

Cooper Greenberg and Friends
Tickets available HERE.
Cooper Greenberg is a songwriter and guitarist based out of San Antonio, Texas. He performs solo, with his full band “Favorite Son,” and with the local-legend country band, “The Texases.” His playing style is melodic and tasteful, and his raw, baritone vocals accompany the guitar-driven music well. Over the past several years, Cooper’s performing has brought him through some of Texas’ most historic and beloved venues, including appearances at the Kerrville Folk Festival, the Cactus Cafe, residencies on Austin’s 6th Street, features on Texas Public Radio, and album releases at San Antonio classics like the Lonesome Rose & Sam’s. His first album Dream Sequence was recorded at Matador Recording Studios and released in 2018, followed by 2021’s Silverbelly and 2022’s Favorite Son Live. He has also gained prominence in the online guitar world with his work with Alamo Music, whose YouTube channel has over 180,000 subscribers. Listen to Cooper HERE.
Cooper will be joined by fellow musicians Brandon Padier and Jordan Bryant.

Chavela and Friends
Tickets available HERE.
Isabel Paillao, known professionally as Chavela, is a San Antonio, Texas based songwriter and vocalist. Chavela recently released her self-titled debut album, which is a collection of tracks that have been polished by many years of live shows. The sound is as much a faithful nod to San Antonio’s Westside Sound, as it is an exploration of neo-soul, country, and jazz. Paillao’s songwriting and vocals are the heart of the record, and the band surrounding her builds a tasteful and dynamic foundation on which the songs are performed. Listen to Chavela HERE.
Chavela will be joined by fellow San Antonio artists Kassandra Ayala and Elena Lopez.
