New Monthly Live Music Residency Series Launches at Bar 414
The iconic Gunter Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, continues its celebration of San Antonio’s deep musical roots with a new monthly Live Music Residency Series starting in February 2026 at Bar 414, the hotel’s intimate speakeasy tucked discreetly behind a gallery wall.
Named for the room where blues legend Robert Johnson recorded in 1936, Bar 414 honors the hotel’s storied past with vintage décor, a curated cocktail menu and a moody, welcoming atmosphere. Throughout February, the venue will host a rotating lineup of jazz and blues artists, featuring local and regional talent performing Thursday through Saturday evenings. The series will be ongoing and the March lineup will be announced soon.

“Live music has always been part of The Gunter’s DNA,” said Owner and Managing Director at Axle Capital Jiwon Choi. “Bar 414 allows us to honor that legacy in a way that feels authentic and intimate, while also giving guests a chance to experience some of the best jazz and blues musicians in Texas in a truly special setting.”
All performances take place from 9 p.m. to midnight and are free for patrons of Bar 414 to enjoy.
