LDEISA, Les Dames d’Escoffier San Antonio, Has Cooked Up Change for 30 Years

Les Dames d’Escoffier San Antonio (LDEISA) proudly announces its 30th Anniversary Fundraiser Gala, a landmark celebration of three decades championing women in the culinary, beverage, and hospitality industries. The event is presented by H-E-B and takes place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6pm-11pm at the elegant Red Berry Estate, located at 856 Gembler Road, San Antonio, TX 78219.

Since its founding in 1995, the San Antonio chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier has awarded more than 87 scholarships totaling over $294,000, helping women pursue culinary education and careers. Additionally, through its Aspirations Grant, the organization has distributed 30 grants totaling $198,297.97 to support women-led food, beverage, and hospitality projects. Now celebrating its 30th year, LDEISA continues this powerful legacy with a membership of over 100 professional women representing the full spectrum of the culinary world.

Founding Members
This year’s gala honors the chapter’s founding members—Lenny Angel, Barbara Bechtold, Cynthia Guido, Karen Haram, Nancy Lazara, Prissy Kent, Rosemary Kowalski, Pat Mozersky, Cynthia Pedregon, and Patsy Swendson—visionaries who established the organization to foster excellence and mentorship for women in the culinary space. Their mission lives on through an ever-growing network of women leaders who continue to break barriers and shape the future of food and hospitality.

The evening features a Dame-inspired menu where each dish is drawn from a member’s personal recipe, showcasing the depth and heritage of their culinary contributions. Guests begin the night with a cocktail reception and passed appetizers on the estate’s lawn, followed by a plated four-course dinner executed by the acclaimed RK Group. The venue holds special significance: the Red Berry Estate is home to the RK Group, founded by Rosemary Kowalski, a beloved founding Dame whose legacy continues to inspire.
In Addition to Dinner
Following dinner, the celebration continues with a dessert buffet, live auction, alcohol pull, and dancing under the stars. Whether you’re a foodie, a philanthropist, or simply love a beautifully curated evening, this event offers a one-of-a-kind experience that blends purpose with elegance.
