S. Alamo Street Reopens as Plaza San Antonio & Kimpton Santo Debut the Arciniega District
Summer-long programming to feature rooftop celebrations, culinary experiences, wellness activations, and nightlife moments across two luxury lifestyle destinations!
Following the completion of construction along South Alamo Street, Kimpton Santo San Antonio – Riverwalk and Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa are ushering in a new era for downtown hospitality with six weeks of immersive summer activations celebrating the reopening of the corridor that runs along the hotels’ respective front doors.
Located at the intersection of downtown and Southtown, the neighboring luxury lifestyle hotels are collectively positioning the surrounding area as the Arciniega District — a vibrant destination rooted in history, culture, culinary experiences, and elevated hospitality. With the reopening of South Alamo Street, both properties are fully reconnecting guests and locals to one of San Antonio’s fastest-growing hospitality corridors. This new District is a walkable dining collection spanning Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa and Kimpton Santo San Antonio – Riverwalk. Beginning Thursday, May 28, through Sunday, July 5, the activation series will feature rooftop experiences, poolside celebrations, curated culinary events, wellness programming, and nightlife activations designed to showcase the renewed energy of the district.

Casa Anaqua: A Love Island Poolside Watch Party | Tuesday, June 2 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Anaqua Garden Bar will transform into the ultimate summer villa experience with Casa Anaqua: A Love Island Poolside Watch Party. Beginning at 6 p.m., guests can lounge poolside beneath the property’s lush garden canopy while enjoying DJ sets, cheeky Love Island-inspired cocktail specials and social moments designed to spark new connections before the episode viewing begins at 8 p.m. on a projector with full sound. The evening will feature color-coded relationship-status hand fans, bombshell-worthy mingling, and a lively atmosphere inspired by the hit reality series.

Moonlight at Anaqua: Garden Night Market | Friday, June 12 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa will debut a twilight garden market experience blending live music, artisan vendors and botanical cocktails into a hidden nighttime escape at Anaqua Garden Bar. The activation will feature curated local pop-ups, an outdoor family movie screening on the Oasis Lawn and elevated frozen cocktail offerings designed for a relaxed summer evening in the heart of downtown.
Anaqua Garden Bar access is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Reservations are encouraged through OpenTable to secure entrance to the event.
Corinne’s “Dad’s Table” Experience | Saturday, June 20 & Sunday, June 21 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Corinne San Antonio will host its Father’s Day-inspired “Dad’s Table” experience — a leisurely prix-fixe brunch centered around shared comfort dishes and elevated cocktails. It will be available as an OpenTable add-on. The experience includes shared fry bread, entrée selections, handcrafted cocktails or wine pairings and peach cobbler served family-style, alongside complimentary and discounted children’s meals. Designed to encourage guests to slow down and savor the moment, the activation reflects Corinne’s signature blend of refined comfort and community-focused dining.

Detox at the Plaza: The Morning After | Sunday, July 5 starting at 10 a.m.
Spa Plaza San Antonio will close out the activation series with a wellness-focused recovery experience following Fourth of July festivities. Guests can recharge through a 60-minute recovery yoga, hydration stations, cold-pressed juices, electrolyte mocktails and mini spa reset experiences featuring cooling towels, aromatherapy and express wellness treatments.

Tenfold Rooftop will host a ticketed Pride Month rooftop day club experience featuring live DJs, skyline views, specialty cocktails and community-driven partnerships benefiting local organizations. The event is 21+ only and will feature six live DJ sets, curated cocktails and a vibrant rooftop atmosphere celebrating inclusivity, music and culture in the heart of downtown San Antonio. Smoke & Oak: A Whistle Pig Roast at Dean’s | Sunday, June 21 from Noon to 3 p.m.
Dean’s Steak & Seafood will host “Smoke & Oak,” a courtyard brunch experience featuring whiskey tastings, live acoustic music, cigar rolling and a whole pig roast carved live throughout the afternoon. Guests can also enjoy elevated cocktail features, curated tastings and exclusive giveaways within one of downtown’s premier culinary destinations.
