They will feature two exclusive holiday-themed beverages: the Candy Cane Carajillo and a Rompope-inspired mocktail. The event invites locals and visitors to enjoy festive cocktails crafted by top downtown establishments. Participants can explore a variety of signature cocktails from different venues and collect stamps for a chance to win prizes.
Acenar, a renowned culinary destination on San Antonio’s iconic River Walk, is thrilled to announce its participation in this year’s Holidays on Houston Street Cocktail Crawl. Running from November 24, 2024, through January 2, 2025, the event invites locals and visitors alike to experience holiday-themed cocktails crafted by top downtown establishments. As part of the festivities, Acenar will feature two exclusive beverages that embody the flavors of the season.
The first, dubbed the Candy Cane Carajillo, features a festive twist on the classic Spanish coffee cocktail. This indulgent drink blends Licor 43 freshly brewed coffee & Peppermint Bark RumChata resulting in a warm, creamy delight with a hint of holiday mint, perfect for savoring under the glow of Houston Street’s holiday lights.
The second, a mocktail reminiscent of the classic Mexican holiday drink Rompope, includes Milk, Condensed Milk, Cinnamon Stick, Baking Soda, Corn Starch, Egg Yolks, and Vanilla Extract. This version combines rich, creamy textures with warming spices, making it an ideal treat for the season. Those who wish can enhance their libation with Bacardi Rum to add a festive kick.
