Yes, you are sure to experience an authentic Fat Tuesday in San Antonio as Smashin’ Crab, a local seafood restaurant, brings a taste of NOLA to our city.
Smashin’ Crab, with three locations throughout San Antonio, is bringing Fat Tuesday to the Alamo City with Cajun cuisine, drink specials, & authentic New Orleans King Cake flown in from world famous bakery Joe Gambino’s Bakery.
When
The seafood eatery is inviting guests to get in the Mardi Gras spirit throughout the month of February with their selection of Louisiana favorites, like The Big Easy, an appetizer consisting of Catfish strips, Shrimp, Calamari, & Soft Shell Crab, served with hushpuppies and Cajun spiced fries.
Smashin’ Trio
For those wishing to truly immerse themselves in classic ‘Orleans cuisine, the Smashin’ Trio is the way to go. Guests can indulge in three of the following: Jambalaya, Dirty Rice, Gumbo, Etouffee, or Red Beans & Rice. Also for a limited time, patrons can enjoy a true taste of the bayou with Crawfish Etouffee, a rich, creamy crawfish stew served with steamed white rice.
Cocktails
Also on the menu, the classic walkabout cocktail for Bourbon Street, the Hurricane, with four variations to choose from. For those who can’t decide, a Hurricane Flight is also available that includes all four smashin’ flavors. Another Mardi Gras inspired drink, the Nola 75, kicks things up a notch with its Hennessy based martini that is shaken with Chambord, lemon juice, sparkling wine, and a lemon twist.
New Orleans King Cake
Finally, to end the celebration, the eatery will have authentic New Orleans King Cake flown in from the world famous Joe Gambino’s Bakery, and available by the slice at all 3 San Antonio locations on Tuesday, February 21 for guests to enjoy a true taste of Fat Tuesday in San Antonio. King Cake will be available while supplies last.
