Two Power Couple Chefs Unite for Clementine’s Annual Día de los Muertos Culinary Celebration
Castle Hills celebrated community restaurant, Clementine, honors Dia De Los Muertos with its annual Day of the Dead dinner on Sunday, November 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The heartfelt evening celebrates a day of remembrance, flavor, and collaboration. This year, owners John and Elise Russ are joined by pitmaster Esaul Ramos Jr. and Chef Grecia Ramos of 2M Smokehouse and Baked. Guests can expect this culinary takeover to provide an evening to remember with a novel six-course prix-fixe dinner.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the lively sounds of mariachis and Clementine’s stunning community ofrenda, set up on the breezy patio. Guests can join in the celebration by writing heartfelt love affirmations for their loved ones and placing them on the ofrenda. Those who arrive early can kick off the evening by exploring interactive beverage tasting stations, sampling a variety of wines before dinner begins.

On the menu, chefs John, Uri, and Esaul combine their culinary talents to create dishes inspired by family traditions, cherished memories, and festive celebrations. Guests can savor the richness of oyster Rockefeller soup, the vibrant flavors of cochinita pibil sope, tender smoked lamb necks, fresh and flaky Texas snapper, and perfectly seasoned smoked tri-tip. Each dish crafted to delight the senses and honor cultural heritage.

To close the evening, Elise and Grecia will present a selection of classic Día de los Muertos inspired desserts. Guests can look forward to creative takes on traditional flavors, from rich pan de muerto and seasonal calabaza creations to playful mini sundaes and sweet mignardises.
This one-night-only curated menu is available exclusively for the Day of the Dead dinner. Reservations are required and can be booked for $135 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) via OpenTable HERE. For a more elevated experience, guests can opt for a wine pairing with each course for only $65.
