Top Catering Company is Bringing Back its Charcuterie Board Classes to Help Get Your Ready for the Holidays
Top catering company, Tim The Girl Catering will host two charcuterie classes in November and December 2022. The first class will take place on Wednesday, November 9th from 6pm-7:30pm, with the second being held on Wednesday, December 14th from 6pm-7:30pm and a third on Wednesday, December 21st. All classes will be held at Ivy Hall Events located at 1127 S St Mary’s St, San Antonio, TX 78210.

About Tim the Girl
The interactive charcuterie classes will be hosted by the Tim the Girl Catering crew. Well known local Chef Tim McDiarmid, founder of The Good Kind Hospitality Group, is owner of the creative catering company. Tim the Girl Catering has been serving vibrant, imaginative, fresh food in San Antonio and the Hill Country since 2011.Through these interactive workshops, they hope to provide the community with knowledge about food and ingredients in a fun way.

Tickets are priced at $45.00 per person and can be purchased through Eventbrite here. Each class includes a beautifully unique board to take home, and two rich glasses of wine to sip on while guests soak in the knowledge of charcuterie curation. This is a great outing for individuals who want to sharpen their culinary prowess or just a fun activity for friends/couples who are looking for a unique and interactive night out.
This isn’t the first time Tim the Girl is offering this experience to San Antonions. Back in late 2021 and early 2022, classes sold out quickly due to their lively vibe and hands-on approach. Tickets are limited, so make sure to grab them before they’re gone.

Chef Tim McDiarmid is the food and entertaining visionary behind the hospitality group that includes Tim the Girl Catering, The Good Kind restaurant,
and Ivy Hall Events, an event venue in San Antonio, Texas.
Tim was raised in rural British Columbia, Canada, growing her own food and watching her mother cook with fresh ingredients. So for McDiarmid, “farm
to table” is not a fad that might come and go out of style; it’s her history.
As a young woman, she left home heading to the “Big Apple” in search of fulfilling her dream of being a chef. She lived & worked in New York for nearly
20 years in every restaurant position imaginable from front of house, back of house, bartender & eventually as a chef. This was a great learning experience,
allowing her to observe all aspects of running a restaurant. She was able to really hone in on her craft & gain lots of knowledge from other culinary leaders
in the community.
In 2004, she was blessed with a son, Tappen. Unfortunately the relationship with his father was not one destined to be, so in 2011, she and her son moved
to San Antonio, Texas. A city, at the time, on the cusp of its culinary revolution. As a single mother in a big city, with no family to help her, she required a
flexible profession that would allow her to be with her son as well as focus on the wholesome, vibrant diet she’d always enjoyed. Thus, Tim the Girl
Catering was born in 2011.
Tim opened her first retail outpost, The Good Kind, in The Historic Pearl’s Bottling Department food hall in 2017. After successfully completing the
culinary incubation program, The Good Kind in the Pearl closed in 2020. During this time period of growth, she opened a second Good Kind location in
2018, as well as took over the management of Ivy Hall Events, an eclectic venue space in San Antonio’s King William district.
In 2019, she was selected as a James Beard Fellow for the James Beard Foundation’s Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership program. Since, her companies
have gone on to win multiple awards including:
