Reminder, the time is now: The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio hosts open auditions this Saturday for their enchanting spring production of The Little Mermaid – coming to the Majestic Theatre in May!
The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio (CBSA) is pleased to announce open call for auditions on Saturday, February 1st for their spring production of The Little Mermaid! This spring, artists aged 3-19 will have the chance to light up the legendary Majestic Theatre stage in a variety of roles carefully cast to highlight special skills and budding talents. Performers in all disciplines of dance (ballet, hip-hop, tap, jazz, contemporary, etc.) are encouraged to audition, as well as gymnasts, actors, vocalists, musical theatre artists as well as special needs artists are encouraged to audition for this spectacular production. Artists will have a chance to train with CBSA’s award winning Founder, Vanessa Bessler as well as international ballet masters and principal artists Aliaksandra Krukava and Nurlan Kinerbayev. WHAT:
The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio is pleased to announce free, open-call auditions for its Spring production of The Little Mermaid. Based on the Disney classic, The Little Mermaid is part of CBSA’s tenth anniversary season and promises to be an entertainment extravaganza with live musical numbers, mesmerizing choreography and special water effects that are sure to make a splash! Performances will take place May 16-17 at Downtown’s historic Majestic Theatre, giving artists ages 3-19 the chance to light up that legendary stage in a variety of roles carefully cast to highlight special skills and budding talents. Performers in all disciplines of dance (ballet, hip-hop, tap, jazz, contemporary, etc.) are encouraged to audition, as well as gymnasts, actors, vocalists, and musical theatre artists. CBSA also continues its commitment to create performing opportunities for children with special needs, tailoring roles to their strengths. Throughout rehearsals, performers will work with Master Ballet Teachers, international guest artists, and phenomenal local choreographers to create a legendary, professional-caliber journey under the sea.
