The Savoy, a legendary neighborhood bar in the heart of Houston’s Third Ward, is pulling out all the stops for a frighteningly fun 2nd Anniversary Weekend-Long Halloween Bash!

The Savoy is inviting thrill-seekers and Halloween lovers to don their best costumes for a full weekend of ghoulishly good times at their 2nd Anniversary Halloween Bash! Festivities for the party kick off this Friday, October 27 at 4:00pm and extend through the entire weekend, with three days of Costume Contests and a grand total of $5,000 in prize giveaways, including Cash, Gas Cards, Gift Cards, Savoy Gift Cards, and more!

The Savoy, located at 4402 Emancipation Ave, has undergone a spooky transformation for the iconic party, with sinister skeletons, tombstones, spider webs, and Insta-worthy decor at every turn! Live character actors and DJs provide an immersive experience all weekend long for The Bash, and partygoers can indulge in a captivating lineup of tasty treats and creepy cocktails to get into the spirit, including:
The Spooky Cocktails
- The Pink Eye: A Strawberry Lemon Drop with a Strawberry Sugared Rim and Edible Eyeballs.
- The Potion: A shimmery purple concoction of Malibu Rum, Pineapple Juice, Blue Curacao, and Purple Glitter, topped with bubbly Sprite.
- The Walking Dead: The Signature Margarita that has gone to the dark side with Black Charcoal and a Black Salted Rim.
- The Third Ward Renaissance: Their Signature 288 South Cocktail featuring Hennessy and Grand Marnier, combined with house-made White Peach Habanero Lemonade, a shimmer of Gold Glitter, and a Black Salted Rim.
The Savoy, steeped in history since its inception in 1940, has been a treasured gathering spot for the African American community. The historic old building has seen only three owners in its 83-year history. Black and Long Enterprises, the third and current owner, took the reins in 2019, initiating a comprehensive renovation and relaunching the historic bar with a modern vibe in the fall of 2021.

The Savoy invites everyone in the Houston community to get into the Halloween spirit and celebrate their 2nd Anniversary with them at the Weekend-Long Halloween Bash. Doors open at 4 pm on Friday and 11 am on Saturday and Sunday, with a special Spooky Brunch! Beyond the Bash, the Halloween celebration extends into the late hours next week, as The Savoy will stay open until 2 am on Monday, October 30, and for Halloween, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023!
