Bread Zeppelin is thrilled to announce the opening of its second location in Houston, Texas. Located at 3235 Southwest Fwy in the Summit Square Shopping Mall, this new Greenway/Upper Kirby restaurant brings a healthy, innovative twist to the celebration of Sandwich Month!
Sandwich or Salad
Bread Zeppelin, a Dallas-based visionary concept co-founded by Troy Charhon and Andrew Schoellkopf in 2013, has been captivating the taste buds of diners with its ‘best of both worlds’ signature item, the “Zeppelin”, since its launch. Blurring the lines between a sandwich and a salad, the Zeppelin starts with a freshly baked artisan baguette that is custom toasted to order. The soft interior is carefully cored out and then generously filled with a personalized chopped salad, delivering a crisp, refreshing, delicious combination of flavors and textures in every bite.
Signature Salads
The new Bread Zeppelin Greenway location offers a diverse selection of 12 fresh signature salads that can be enjoyed either in a bowl or within the unique Zeppelin sandwich. Guests can indulge in creative signature flavor combinations from the Southwest Zeppelin, featuring avocado, tomatoes, corn salad, black beans, Cotija cheese, and romaine, suggested with Hangar Bleu or Avocado Ranch dressing, to the Washington State Zeppelin, starring herb-marinated grilled chicken, crisp apples, crushed walnuts, beets, Bleu Cheese crumbles, and a flavorful Arcadian Mix of fresh greens, enhanced by a delightful Champagne Vinaigrette dressing!
Build-Your-Own
Bread Zeppelin also offers the freedom of customization with build-your-own fresh ingredient Bowl or Zeppelin options. Guests can choose from a variety of five lettuce bases and grain options and select from a vast array of nearly 40 fresh veggies, fruit, crunch, and cheese toppings! A wide selection of proteins, including shrimp, turkey, herb-marinated chicken, and fire-grilled flank steak, allows diners to craft their perfect meal. The menu is further elevated by 15 delicious dressings, made fresh in-house daily, guaranteeing a truly personalized experience. These unique sandwiches are not only flavorful but also convenient for eating on-the-go, minimizing the mess often associated with traditional sandwiches and wraps.

The Greenway Bread Zeppelin franchise is owned by Avalanche Food Group (AFG), a Houston family-owned culinary company known for its successful operation of Twin Peaks restaurants across Texas. AFG first introduced Bread Zeppelin’s exciting concept to the Houston market in June 2021 at City Place (1700 Lake Plaza Dr.). The new Greenway/Upper Kirby location marks the company’s second Bread Zeppelin franchise in Houston.
