Texas-Crafted Easy-to-Drink Blonde Ale is Now Available on Tap at This Resort’s Dining Venues and Pinthouse
JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa announces their Texas-Crafted Kölsch beer brewed in collaboration with local craft brewery, Pinthouse Brewing. The refreshing, easy-to-drink Blonde Ale is now available on tap at the resort’s dining venues and Pinthouse.
The Hill Country Kölsch, with a 5% ABV, was brewed specially for JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, drawing inspiration from the Hill Country region’s natural beauty while incorporating traditional German brewing techniques that have long been a part of Central Texas’ craft beer landscape. This collaboration blends imported barley and Texas Pilsner malts, alongside Hallertau Blanc and Tettnang hops, delivering a well-rounded and flavorful beer that pays homage to both local and European brewing traditions.

Kölsch is a Blonde Ale style originating in Cologne, Germany, known for its crisp and clean finish. Featuring a Kölsch yeast strain, this beer delivers subtle fruity notes typical of ale but has the smoothness and refreshing qualities of lager. The yeast strain used in this brew has been Pinthouse’s house yeast for 13 years, a signature element of their brewing process that now marks the brewery’s first large production batch of Kölsch.
