River Walk’s Spectacular Day of the Dead Parade
Hotel Contessa is celebrating the San Antonio Day of the Dead parade this year on Friday, October 27 with a lively pre-party featuring cocktails, face painting, live music and vendors. The boutique RiverWalk hotel will offer two different viewing options which include a prefixed dinner party with a view of the parade or a seat in on the action on Hotel Contessa’s Riverwalk Patio. Both events will include access to the parade pre-party beginning at 5 p.m. at Ambler Texas Kitchen + Cocktails.
The Day of the Dead Parade Pre-Party will feature live mariachis, complimentary face painting, chair massages, and tastings with Dos Hombres mezcal. Additionally, Hotel Contessa will be decorated throughout the space from October 18-November 5 to commemorate the occasion.
Returning for the second year, Hotel Contessa will create an altar for Lady Contessa which will be on display at the hotel. New this year, the hotel will create a second altar for associates to commemorate their loved ones.
Day of the Dead Parade Watch Party:
Hotel Contessa will sell private river level seating to enjoy the parade. Guests are able to reserve a seat for $50 dollars, which includes reserved seating and entry to the pre-party. Guests are able to select the location of their seating on the patio anywhere between the Presa and Navarro St. Bridge. Seating cannot be changed after initial purchase. Your ticket allows for an extra comfortable experience with in and out privileges of the hotel and bar, access to indoor lounge seating, multiple restrooms, multiple bars to cut down on wait times, and more.
Day of the Dead Parade Dinner Party at Ambler Texas Kitchen + Cocktails:
After enjoying the pre-party Ambler Texas Kitchen + Cocktails is offering the option to indulge in a prefixed dinner beginning at 7 p.m. Tables for parties of four are available for purchase at $600 or you can purchase individual tickets set at $175 per person. Ticket price includes access to the pre-party, valet parking for one vehicle, a three-course meal and a choice of a carafe of margaritas or a bottle of wine. The menu will feature shareables for the table, and options for a starter, an entree and something sweet.
