Return of the Legendary Fajita Lounge Showdown
WHAT:
Gimme Gimme is excited to announce the fourth annual “Fajita Lounge Showdown” featuring 8 local chefs + San Antonio’s Fire Department Station #7 & #28 competing head-to-head for the title of “Best Fajita Tacos” in San Antonio. Since 2022, the Fajita Lounge has been hosting carne asada pop-ups that have become adored by all its fans with free fajita tacos for everyone, hosted by Aaron Peña, Chef Matt Garcia and Chef Jake Gonzales.
The Competition
The competition will take place on Sunday, April 12, with local chefs featuring their best take on the fajita taco. For a $10 entry fee, tacos will be available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. Featured establishments include:

The Judges
This year’s event will feature brand new judges, including:

Contestants will be featuring South Texas BBQ legend ArnieTex’s Arnie Asadas Seasonings on their fajita creations. A charro beans station will also be available to guests featuring Arnie’s seasonings.
The chefs will compete for a grand prize of $500. The bar will feature specialty cocktails by Live Oak Vodka and DJs Texas Papi and SunnyBoy will keep the party going until 12 AM. This event is $10 per person (buy at the door), must be 21 or older.
