Southtown Eatery Hosts Spring Workshops For Food & Gardening Lovers of All Ages
The Good Kind, a Southtown eatery hosts a myriad of classes for adults and kids this spring season in their beautiful garden. The restaurant is located at 1127 S. St. Mary’s St, San Antonio, TX 78210.
Kids Garden Event
The eaterie’s first-ever Kid’s Garden Event will take place on Saturday, April 1st from 11:30am to 1:00pm. Each participating child will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty and receive their own pot and flower to take home. This one-and-a-half-hour class includes educational information and instructions for the planting & care of the child’s plant. Kids will also have the chance to paint their creations as well as rocks to take home. Admission for the event is $10 and includes a snack, juice box, and plant. Charcuterie Class Series
For the adults, The Good Kind is offering 3 types of classes throughout March and April. The first is their continuing Charcuterie Class series, featuring the Tim the Girl Catering Crew. Each class includes a beautifully unique board to take home, and two glasses of wine to sip on while soaking in the knowledge of charcuterie curation. This is a great outing for individuals who want to sharpen their culinary prowess, or just a fun activity for friends/couples who are looking for a unique and interactive night out. The next Charcuterie Class is set for Wednesday, March 29th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a $45 ticket price. Those interested can claim their spot through Eventbrite here.
Sips & Succulents
Also on the calendar for March and April is Sips & Succulents. An adult version of the Kid’s Garden Event, featuring a complimentary glass of wine, a paint-your-own-pot, and 3 adorable succulents to take home. Guests will have the chance to learn more about succulent gardening and how to care for their new creations. A great girls’ night out, Sips & Succulents will take place on both Wednesday, March 22nd & Wednesday, April 26th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Mixology Classes
Those wishing to do some libation learning can take advantage of the restaurant’s Mixology Classes this spring. Participants will be instructed on how to mix three award-winning botanical cocktails from The Good Kind, including proper shaking techniques and pouring methods. Guests will be able to imbibe on the three cocktails after making each one while enjoying bar snacks. Each guest will also receive a swag bag to take home. Guests will have the opportunity to take the Mixology Class on either Friday, March 31st or Thursday, April 13th from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm for $65. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite here.
All classes will be held outdoors on the beautiful grounds of The Good Kind and Ivy Hall at 1127 South St. Mary’s St. The restaurant’s regular and bar menus will be available during classes for an additional charge.
