SA Hotel, The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel, presents Whiskey & War Stories at the St. Anthony on their Sky Terrace. This experience unfolds high above downtown San Antonio, between 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9. Guests can expect a curated culinary and whiskey experience with Horse Soldier Bourbon, paired alongside a bold three-course menu by resident executive chefs Leo Davila and Jarrod Mainard.

WHAT:
The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel, presents Whiskey & War Stories at the St. Anthony Sky Terrace, unfolding high above downtown San Antonio, between 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9. The evening features a whiskey-tasting experience celebrating culinary artistry and American legacy from Horse Soldier Bourbon, along with a curated three-course menu made in collaboration by resident executive chefs, Leo Davila of Esencia and Anacacho Coffee & Cantina, and Jarrod Mainard of Gallery On the Park and St. Anthony Club.
The evening’s featured libation, Horse Soldier Bourbon, pays tribute to courage and brotherhood. Founded by the U.S. Special Forces “Horse Soldiers”—among the first Americans deployed to Afghanistan after 9/11—their legacy lives on in every bottle as a symbol of strength, resilience, and service. During the event, an original “Horse Soldiers” will be in attendance, accompanied by an immersive rooftop video presentation.
To complement these spirits, chefs Leo Davila and Jarrod Mainard have crafted a custom three-course menu that harmonizes with each bourbon’s unique profile while enhancing bold flavors and aromas through local, seasonal ingredients featured in every dish.
