Popular Gourmet Sandwich Bar Expands to New Fourth Location at POST Houston
Twisted Grilled Cheese (TGC), the popular Gourmet Sandwich Bar and cutting-edge haven for everything cheese, just opened its fourth Houston Area restaurant location in as many years in the POST Market food hall, inside POST Houston at 401 Franklin Street!
The new Twisted Grilled Cheese restaurant, which opened on July 8, 2023, features a premium selection of its insanely delicious signature sandwiches, tasty treats, and a few new delights at the vibrant POST Market!
Family owned and operated by Houston natives, Twisted Grilled Cheese launched their gourmet ‘comfort food with a twist’ concept from a single food truck in the Galleria area in 2019 and will now have four brick and mortar restaurant locations; one in Memorial City Mall food court that opened in April, 2023, (303 Memorial City Way), one in Houston (5555 Washington Ave.) one in Katy (24811 Katy Freeway), and the newest location at POST Market, along with two food trucks available for corporate events, weddings, private parties, and public festivals and events!
Named one of the Best Grilled Cheese Sandwiches in the US by Tasting Table, TGC has gained widespread recognition for its gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. Guests at the new POST Market location can expect TGC’s deliciously decadent signature variations on traditional comfort foods with grilled and stuffed sandwich offerings from the 5 Cheese Classic Grilled Cheese, made with a warm, melty blend of five premium cheeses, to popular culinary favorites like the Halal Philly Cheesesteak and Smokehouse Brisket!
TGC is also debuting some yummy new signature sandwiches at POST Houston including the Texas Classic (grilled cheese); Turkey and Ham, loaded with tasty cheeses, the Twisted Pig (grilled cheese); Ham, Bacon, Pepperoni, and a variety of gooey cheese, and new Twisted Philly Subs on hoagies with savory Halal Steak or Chicken, topped with a melty, gooey blend of delicious white cheeses!
Additional POST menu items include an array of fan favorites including the Parmesan Waffle Fries, homemade Tomato Basil Soup, Mac & Cheese Balls, and a variety of tasty beverages like their Signature Limeade and Twisted Tea! All of TGC’s signature delights are made with the freshest ingredients and certified Halal meats, and the restaurant offers vegan cheese and gluten free bread options, as well.
Twisted Grilled Cheese locations are very family-friendly, with kid-friendly meals and sweet treats like Hand-Spun Milkshakes, Funnel Cake Fries and Cheesecake Donut Holes! For the adults, TGC offers plenty of grown-up gourmet grilled cheese choices, with frozen cocktails and boozy adult hand-spun milkshakes available at the Washington Avenue and Katy restaurants!
The new Twisted Grilled Cheese at POST Houston will be open Sunday-Wednesday 11am-9pm, and Thursday-Saturday 11am-10pm.
TGC’s Washington location (5555 Washington Ave.) is open Sunday-Thursday from 11am-9:30pm; and Friday-Saturday from 11am-10:30pm. In Katy, cheese lovers can visit the TGC, located at 24811 Katy Freeway, Sunday-Thursday from 11am-9pm and Friday-Saturday from 11am-10pm.
Memorial City Mall visitors can stop by Twisted Grilled Cheese Monday-Thursday from 10am-8pm, Friday – Saturday from 10am-9pm, and Sunday from 11am – 7pm.
