Popular Elevated Scratch Kitchen in San Antonio Announces a New Social Hour Menu

 

 

 

Popular elevated scratch kitchen, Cover 3, is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Social Hour menu, available at Cover 3 San Antonio from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday. This brand-new happy hour menu features a mix of inventive dishes that are exclusive to Social Hour, with items all priced between $4 to $8.

About the Menu

Guests can enjoy $4 Karbach Brewing Drafts and Ziegenbock, $5 House ’Ritas, $6 Cocktails and $8 wines by the glass from Daou Vineyards, featuring sauvignon blanc, rosé chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon. All food items are priced at $7 each and include Stuffed Avocado with poblano-ranch chicken salad, chive oil, pepitas and shredded parmesan; Deviled Eggs with house-candied applewood smoked bacon; Nashville Hot Chicken Slider with crispy, house-blend spiced chicken, B&B pickles, slaw and mayo; Whipped Feta topped with honey, a honey-balsamic glaze, roasted beets and pistachios; Roasted Poblano Pork Chile Tacos with crisped pepper jack and flour tortillas; Shrimp Firecrackers with crisp golden wontons and red pepper jelly; and grilled Corn Ribs with buttered chipotle mayo and cotija.

Cover 3 owners Doug Young and Matt Dodson created the new Social Hour menu with the help of Executive Chef Steve Warner, who recently joined the Cover 3 team. Chef Warner is based out of Cover 3’s original location in Austin. His resume includes Eddie V’s on 5th Street, Salty Sow, ATX Cocina and more, making him a great addition to the Cover 3 team.

ABOUT CHEF STEVE WARNER: 

Born and raised in Austin, Cover 3 Executive Chef Steve Warner is a restaurant veteran with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. His most recent experience includes 11 years with Austin-based Guy+Larry Restaurants, first helping to open Eddie V’s on 5th Street in 2000. After opening Eddie V’s, Chef Steve continued with Guy+Larry concepts, working on numerous projects in California, Texas and Arizona, including Salty Sow, Wildfish Seafood Grille, Lil’Doddy, ATX Cocina, Bulevar and Tumble 22. He began his career in college at Macaroni Grill, helping to open over 20 locations, and also worked at well-known establishments such as Morton’s Steakhouse, Johnny Carino’s and Gumbo’s. When he’s not in the kitchen, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and staying active through triathlons and cycling.
