Popular Broadway Diner Kicks Off Spring With New Menu
The popular Broadway diner, The Hayden, located at 4025 Broadway St, San Antonio, TX 78209, is honoring the changing of the seasons with a host of new dishes added to their ever-evolving menu.
The Food
Guests can enjoy new takes on classics with additions such as a delightful Spring Pea Risotto, or a Chili Garlic Chicken Sandwich made with a matzo-crusted chicken breast topped with homemade sriracha butter sauce, and finished with pickles, tomato, arugula, & aioli.
The diner is also celebrating the warmer weather with odes to the summer season with their take on a Backyard BBQ Burger, made with a flame-grilled 8oz all beef patty and topped with smoked cheddar and coffee bbq sauce along with typical burger fixings. Seafood lovers can indulge in the new Grilled Summer Salmon, a refreshing dish, served with a smoked tomato Israeli couscous, watermelon radish, arugula & a shaved fennel salad to accompany the grilled salmon filet, which is topped with a chili-garlic vinaigrette.
Additionally, the eatery will be introducing its take on the vegetarian favorite, Falafel, to round out its new spring menu offerings. This traditional dish, made with chickpeas, is accompanied by a fresh herb tzatziki sauce, with pickled onions, tomato, and arugula served on a roasted garlic naan.

The Hayden is a South Texas diner, with an old school Jewish delicatessen soul. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many of their signature dishes are Jewish classics with a touch of South Texas flavors. The Hayden’s hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 10am-9pm, Saturday from 9am-9pm and Sunday from 9am-3pm.
