San Antonians will always remember the Alamo … and they’ll never forget their first bite of Via 313’s genuine Detroit-style pizza. And now, the Austin-born concept is dishing out more award-winning pizza with a second location in the area.

Opening Day

On Monday, Jan. 9, Via 313 will open its doors at 7010 W. Loop 1604 N. near Culebra Creek Park. Named one of the “Top 10 Pizzas in America” by Food Network, Via’s new location will offer the local community a 3,300-square-foot pizzeria and patio space where they can indulge in its famous “square” pizzas, featuring handmade dough prepared fresh daily using the finest flours and classic baking techniques.

To celebrate its second location in San Antonio, Via 313 is inviting guests to join its team and the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 9 with prizes and slices of its one-of-a-kind pizza — built right, to the last bite — up for grabs.

“The San Antonio community has made one thing very clear — they need more Motor City flavor in the Alamo City,” said Via 313 Co-Founder Zane Hunt. “Our first few months in the area have been amazing and our newest location is in the perfect spot on the west side of the city for locals and visitors alike to enjoy a slice of our hometown. We can’t wait to celebrate another opening in this great community.”

The Square Pizza

Via 313 exists so more people around the country can enjoy the pizza that’s beloved in Detroit. The pizzas are called square, but they’re actually rectangle and baked in metal trays, just like the ones used on the automotive assembly lines at the Big Three. But instead of being filled with metal parts, Via 313’s trays are filled with the finest pizza ingredients it can source. In addition, Via 313 offers gluten-free and dairy-free options. To learn more about Via 313 or to view the full menu, visit via313.com.
