My Favorite Month Is October Because It’s Texas Wine Month

Tickets are now on sale for Texas Hill Country Wineries’ Texas Wine Month passport event, which will be happening this year for the entire month of October at over 45 wineries in the beautiful Hill Country.

This marks the third of four self-guided passport events Texas Hill Country Wineries hosts throughout the year, allowing consumers to experience a world of wine at a variety of participating wineries. With the purchase of a digital passport, ticket holders can taste at up to four wineries per day over the course of the month, as well as receive exclusive discounts on bottle purchases. Reservations are recommended, especially for weekend visits.

Passport tickets are $120/couple or $85/individual. $5 from each ticket sold goes directly to the Texas Hill Country Wine Industry Scholarship Fund. In total, more than $55,500 has been awarded to 47 Texas students working towards a degree in Viticulture, Enology or Hospitality.

In addition, Texas Hill Country Wineries new website is now live at https://texashillcountrywineries.org, so be sure to check it out! You can download a map and list of all of the wineries participating in this year’s passport event, and the map feature is now easier to explore.

Finally, THCW’s Fall Winemaker Dinner will take place at Sage in Fredericksburg on Thursday, September 7th. Attendees will enjoy a night of culinary excellence with a 6 course menu perfectly paired with some of the Texas Hill Country’s finest wines. Proceeds will also benefit the Texas Hill Country Wine Industry Scholarship Fund.

The Fall Winemaker Dinner will feature 6 Texas Hill Country Winery Members and a special menu from Chef Henry Gutkin. Amongst owners, winemakers and special representatives from Texas Wine Collective, Hye Meadow Winery, Texas Heritage Vineyards, Airis ‘Ele Vineyards, Kuhlman Cellars and Stone House Vineyard you will enjoy a night of culinary excellence with a 6 course menu perfectly paired with some of the Texas Hill Country’s finest wines.
