Local Diner Celebrates Jewish New Year With Authentic Cuisine
Local Diner, The Hayden, with two area locations, is hosting a Rosh Hashanah Dinner on Sunday, September 17th from 5:30pm -8:30pm in honor of the Jewish New Year.
Everyone Invited
The restaurant is inviting Jews & Gentiles alike to break some challah with them in honor of the Jewish New Year or Rosh Hashanah. The celebration will take place at both the original Broadway location at 4025 Broadway and the newly opened Alon location at 10003 NW Military Hwy #2115 with a full menu of elevated Jewish cuisine served communal style.
Menu Selections
Guests will be able to dine on such dishes as Braised Brisket & Chicken Roulade with Coconut-Curry Braised Carrots as well as owner, Adam Lampinstein, own family recipe for Noodle Kugel. For dessert, the delicatessen is offering Honey Cake with Apples & Golden Raisin Compote topped with a Cinnamon Crème Anglaise.
Cocktails
A cocktail hour will proceed the dinner with a selection of all-you-care-to-drink house red & white wines from 5:30pm – 6:30pm with dinner to follow from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Additional Rosh Hashanah inspired cocktails as well as the full cocktail menu will be available for an additional charge.
Tickets
Tickets for the dinner are $54.99 per adult & $35.99 per child with the wine add-on available for $20. Those who wish can purchase tickets via Eventbrite here. The Hayden is a South Texas diner, with an old school Jewish delicatessen soul that recently opened their 2nd location in the Alamo City. Many of their signature dishes are Jewish classics with a Texas twist or nods to classic deli dishes that are hard to come by in the Lone Star State.
