Flavors of San Antonio

Julia Rosenfeld, food journalist and owner of Food Chick Tours in San Antonio, collaborated with San Antonio area chefs to share the region’s vibrant and diverse food culture with the public. San Antonio Cooks is the author’s second cookbook. The new cookbook, which was largely written during the COVID-19 pandemic, acknowledges the city’s resilience in the face of abrupt change. It also makes note of San Antonio’s history that has influenced much of the city’s food culture, while celebrating the newer influences on the region’s food scene including Moroccan, Japanese and Caribbean flavors to name a few.
