Caring Local Eateries are Giving Back To The San Antonio Food Bank This September
September is Hunger Action Month & two caring local eateries, The Good Kind & SA Seafood, are doing their part to fight hunger and address food insecurity on both a national and local level. San Antonio Food Bank is partnering with a few local restaurants to support the mission of ending hunger in our community. Every $1 donated provides 7 meals for those in need. Those who wish to donate to the Food Bank’s mission during their dining experience will receive an incentive from these two restaurants.
About Hunger Action Month
September is Hunger Action Month & nonprofits across the country are doing their part to fight hunger and address food insecurity on both a national and local level. In San Antonio, several local restaurants have partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank to raise awareness of hunger issues in San Antonio through a virtual fundraiser that could earn you discounts at your favorite restaurants.
Food insecurity affects 34 million Americans, including 9 million children. On a local level, approximately 14% of San Antonians face hunger every day with children being the most vulnerable. For September, the San Antonio Food Bank is partnering with several local restaurants to support the mission of ending hunger in our community. Every $1 donated provides 7 meals for those in need.
