Awesome Seafood Eatery, Mambo Seafood, Opened Their First SA Location This Week
Mambo Seafood, an awesome seafood eatery, announces four San Antonio locations, slated to open by summer 2024. This fresh seafood concept offering a menu of dishes prepared with the best elements of traditional and innovative American, Latin and Pacific cuisines, announces its first San Antonio restaurant will open on Monday, August 14 at 4711 Northwest Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78229. The new restaurant is located near San Antonio’s Medical Center and is the first of four Mambo Seafood’ slated to open in the Alamo City.
The new Mambo Seafood restaurant will be the 14th location for the growing Houston, TX-based brand.
“After 27 years of success in the Houston area, we are excited to open our first location in San Antonio and provide the same delicious fusion flavors at accessible prices to neighborhoods across San Antonio. This will be the first of four confirmed locations coming to the area and we truly can’t wait to meet the community and introduce them to our unique approach to seafood,” says Mambo Seafood CEO Nuno Lima.

Dining Space, Patios, Latin Music
When guests step into the space, they’ll notice large, comfortable dining spaces and patios, where Latin music creates a welcoming, lively and family friendly ambiance. The new San Antonio location will also feature an outdoor playground.
The menu features a variety of seafood platters, famous Mambo rice, tacos, fresh oysters and seafood cocktails along with micheladas, aguas frescas and margaritas.
Menu Items:
Starters include dishes such as Mambo Style Shrimp; Vuelve a la Vida Cocktail – shrimp, oyster, fish and octopus; Empanadas Costeñas – shrimp, cheese, black beans and chipotle; Stuffed Jalapeños; Tilapia Chicharrón; Fried Calamari; Oysters on the Half Shell; and Seafood Cocktails – fish, shrimp, or combination.
Guests can also choose from a selection of Mambo Classics (ranging from $7.99-$12.99) which include a choice of seafood with a side of french fries, shrimp Mambo rice or salad. Dishes include Fish Filets, Fried Shrimp, Stuffed Shrimp, Fried Whole Tilapia, Sliced Sauteed Octopus, and Stuffed Crab. A family meal serving 4-6 people is also available.
The Famous Mambo Rice is the perfect addition for sharing which serves 3-5 people. This dish is built on the classic fried rice flavors that you know and love, with a ‘Mambonifico spin’. The rice is available with shrimp, chicken, pork, vegetables, or a combination.
Seafood platters offer a robust choice of various seafood dishes with preparation styles to accommodate any palate. Guests can make any grilled dish “Z-Style” (zarandeado) at no extra cost. Z-Style is made with an achiote paste – a popular flavoring in Central American, Mexican, and Caribbean cuisines – and annatto seeds adding an earthy, somewhat sweet and spicy, slightly smokey flavor to any grilled dish. Platters include dishes such as Fish & Shrimp – fried fish filets and sauteed shrimp in a choice of Mambo Ranchero Sauce, or Chipotle Sauce; Whole Red Snapper – grilled, fried or Z-Style; Whole Octopus; Lobster Mambo Ranchero; Tilapia Filet – grilled or Z-style; and more. All platters come with a choice of two sides.
Additionally, guests can order fish their way with the Fresh Seafood Market. Guests can choose from a selection of Snapper, Tilapia, Catfish, or the Catch of the Day, and will have the option to customize their dish with their choice of cut, cooking style, and sauce or topping.
