Yoga Sundays & British Immersion Film Festival are Happening at this Lovely Southtown Garden Venue in March
The Good Kind Yoga Sundays and British Film Festival are here just in time for warmer weather.
What – Yoga & Pilates:
The Good Kind, located at 1127 S. St. Mary’s St, San Antonio, TX 78210, will re-introduce Sunday Yoga in the beautiful gardens of Ivy Hall Events every weekend from 10am-11am beginning Sunday, March 6, 2022.
Each Sunday, instructors will rotate between local yoga and pilates instructors to include:
Yoga & Pilates Lineup:
1st Sunday: Yoga with Amanda Millette from MBS Fitness
2nd Sunday: Marti Ewing Yoga
3rd Sunday: Pilates with Jill Wittry from MBS Fitness
4th Sunday: Yoga with Lesley Ramsey from MBS Fitness and BeCause Yoga
All classes will be donation-based, paid directly to each instructor. Guests with all skill levels are welcome, but must bring their own mat.

Brunch
Following class, The Good Kind will be serving up their feel good brunch beginning at 11am. Guests can choose from their fan-favorite classics such as the Good Morning Burrito and Avocado Toast dish, or opt to try a few of their new brunch dishes like the Sweet & Spicy Chicken & Waffles, and Frittata.
What – British Film Festival:
In addition The Good Kind, in collaboration with Slab Cinema, will host an outdoor movie British Immersion Film Festival that will take place every Tuesday during the month of March. The movies will take place in the garden lounge beginning on Tuesday, March 15th at 7pm. Admission is free with the purchase of a meal from Rosy’s Fish and Chips on-site. This outdoor movie series will celebrate cinematography immersed with British elements while Rosey’s Fish and Chips serves their traditional British meal. The festival kicks off on Tuesday, March 15th with a showing of Hard Day’s Night, a 1964 musical comedy film starring the English rock band, The Beatles.
Movies
Future showings include, Time Bandits (3/22), a 1981 British fantasy adventure that follows a young boy who accidentally joins a band of dwarves as they travel through time looking for treasure to steal. The final film showing of the month is Withnail and I (3/29), a 1987 dark comedy that focuses on two substance-abusing, unemployed actors whose vacation to the countryside turns disastrous.
Guests can enjoy the feature film on a giant blow up screen provided by Slab Cinema, while enjoying signature craft cocktails from the bar menu. Guests can also order from Rosey’s Fish and Chips to enjoy a traditional British meal while viewing traditional British films.
Where:
The Good Kind is offering this event in their spacious Southtown garden. Films start at 7 pm and all seating is ticketed. However, movie admission is free with the purchase of a meal from Rosy’s Fish and Chips. Should anyone decide to skip the food and just enjoy the movie, admission tickets are $10 a piece.
