Top SA Chefs Battle for Best Burger at Burger Showdown 3.0 on Oct. 14 at Alamo Beer
The Burger Showdown is back and top SA Chefs are ready!
Homegrown Chef is gearing up for its annual burger competition, Burger Showdown 3.0, featuring top San Antonio chefs (see list below). The event will take place on October 14, 2022, from 6 to 9 pm (5:30 pm for VIPs) at the popular Eastside brewery, Alamo Beer.
This year, 10 AWESOME San Antonio chefs compete and YOU eat! This event is always a community fundraiser focused on food, and this year funds raised will go towards the San Antonio Food Bank.
Besides 10 one-of-a-kind, ONE NIGHT ONLY gourmet sliders, Homegrown Chef will be making fresh-fried French Fries and an after dinner sweet will be provided (sponsor to be determined).
This is an outdoor event. Chefs will be set up under the beautiful Hays Street Bridge, so join us for an epic burger battle – cheer on the chefs and see how many burgers you can actually eat – all for a great cause!
This is an audience-voted ONLY competition. Guests get to vote for their favorite burger and the 1st Place Winning Chef will be awarded a cash prize, along with a trophy. Second and Third Place Winners will also receive a trophy.
“This is my absolute favorite event of all time! These chefs are phenomenal, and the battle is real – everyone wants to throw down the most badass burger, and if you’re going to find one in San Antonio, it will be on this night!” says Homegrown Chef Co-Creator and food writer, Kimberly Suta.
“Additionally, I just want to say that we’re really proud to promote, in small part, the slow food movement and the fantastic local ranchers that we have and are working with, such as Pure Pastures, Behind the Oak Farm and Peaceful Pork. Sustainable, healthy food raised by compassionate people is more important now than ever,” she said.
