This Restaurant and Bar in Southtown to Host a Free October Movie Series
This Restaurant and Bar, The Good Kind, will be hosting a free October Movie Series in collaboration with Slab Cinema in the garden every Thursday beginning on October 13th at 7pm through October 27th.
The Good Kind, located at 1127 S. St. Mary’s St., San Antonio, TX 78210, in collaboration with Slab Cinema will host an outdoor October Movie Series that will take place every Thursday beginning on October 13th at 7pm through October 27th.
This outdoor movie series will be in three parts and kick off on October 13th at 7pm, with the showing of “Big Night” a movie based in New Jersey during the 1950s, where two brothers run an Italian restaurant and when business is not going well because a rival Italian restaurant is out-competing them, the brothers in a final effort to save the restaurant, plan to put on an evening of incredible food. This movie night is featuring Santa Margherita USA.
The second movie showing will take place on October 20th at 7pm, showing “Grand Budapest Hotel”, where A writer encounters the owner of an aging high-class hotel, who tells him of his early years serving as a lobby boy in the hotel’s glorious years under an exceptional concierge. This movie night will feature Citadelle.
Lastly, the final movie showing will be on October 27 at 7pm with the showing of “Sideways” a film where two men reaching middle age with not much to show but disappointment embark on a week-long road trip through California’s wine country, just as one is about to take a trip down the aisle. This final movie night will feature Scheid Family Wines Monterey CA.
Admission is free and seating is limited, so guests are welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets. Guests can enjoy the films on a giant blow-up screen provided by Slab Cinema, while enjoying signature craft cocktails from the bar menu, as well as drink specials. Guests can also order from The Good Kind’s food menu.
