SA Downtown Hotel Celebrates National Watermelon Day with Cool Watermelon Cocktails
SA Downtown Hotel Says “If Life Gives You Watermelons, Make Watermelon Cocktails”!
Hotel Valencia Riverwalk, a Valencia Hotel Collection property, is offering hotel guests and locals alike the opportunity to celebrate National Watermelon Day, Friday, July 31 through Sunday, Aug. 2. This year, the official National Watermelon Day is Monday, Aug. 3. The hotel’s talented mixologists have created three handcrafted sophisticated cocktails to commemorate National Watermelon Day. These are: the Watermelon Tamarind Chill Poptail, the Pink Hugo Spritz and the Valencia Rose. Each cocktail is available for $14 from 5 p.m. to midnight, Friday through Sunday.
he Watermelon Tamarind Chill Poptail is made with tequila, triple sec and fresh, housemade margarita mix. It’s topped with a watermelon tamarindo popsicle and garnished with a tajin rim. This cocktail is shaken and served in a rocks glass.
The Pink Hugo Spritz is made with watermelon juice, lime juice, St. Germaine, club soda and muddled mint. It’s served poured over ice in a wine glass, topped with prosecco and garnished with a mint bouquet.
The Valencia Rose is made with Waterloo prickly pear and rose gin, watermelon juice, St. Germaine and lemon juice. It is shaken and poured over ice in a rocks glass and garnished with an edible flower.
