New Social Club for Women Announces New Culinary Program
The Village, a new social club for Women opening later this year in San Antonio, is pleased to announce additional details about its food and beverage program led by Chef Page Pressley and Dez Rodriguez. The team, best known in San Antonio for their beloved concepts, The Newstand and The Dispatch, will create a culinary program designed to serve members throughout every part of their day – from a morning coffee before a workout or spa treatment to a productive lunch meeting, or an afternoon catch-up with friends.

Page Pressley’s career spans some of Texas’ most acclaimed restaurants. He previously served as chef de cuisine and co-partner at Austin’s nationally recognized Emmer & Rye and held leadership roles at Uchiko and St. Philip. His culinary training includes time at celebrated restaurants such as Uchi Houston and Mexico City’s world-renowned Pujol.
With her background as a pediatric speech therapist, Dez Rodriguez’s natural interpersonal skills permeate every role she’s taken on at The Newstand and The Dispatch. The Rio Grande Valley native places empathy at the forefront of her management style, building an uplifting team culture through open communication, positive reinforcement, and learning opportunities.

“When I was in the early planning stages for The Village, I often set up my temporary office at The Newstand and admired the unpretentious and warm environment that Page and Dez had created there,” said The Village Founder Laney Cloud. “I wanted that same feeling to exist at The Village. Their spaces are welcoming and comfortable, but the food is always exceptional. Page’s impressive culinary background paired with Dez’s hospitality expertise creates the perfect balance of elevated dining and approachable hospitality. Together, they’re helping us create a food and beverage program that feels special enough for a celebration, and comfortable and craveable enough to enjoy everyday.”
Members and their guests can expect a thoughtfully curated culinary experience designed to support every part of a woman’s day and lifestyle. The menu will feature seasonal, ingredient-driven dishes inspired by global travel, personal family traditions, and the team’s deep roots in hospitality. From nourishing breakfast offerings like a soft scramble with caviar and toast, artisanal coffees, seasonal smoothies, and fresh juices to energize the morning, to power lunches like “The Usual,” a Caesar salad and crispy fries meant for long conversations, every offering is designed to fit naturally into the rhythm of daily life. Solo lunches, client meetings, and long catch-ups with friends are all part of the experience, which is intended to feel effortless, familiar, and deeply welcoming.

As the day transitions into evening, members can enjoy elevated comfort food, shareable plates, and a cocktail and mocktail program crafted to encourage connection and conversation. The menu will balance wellness-minded options with indulgent favorites, creating a flexible dining experience whether members are visiting after a workout, enjoying a spa day, gathering with girlfriends, or bringing family and guests to the club.
“We’ve always believed that food has the power to bring people together, and that’s what excites us most about being part of The Village,” said Chef Page Pressley. “Whether someone is stopping in for a coffee between meetings, gathering with friends over cocktails, celebrating a milestone, or simply taking a moment for themselves, we want the food and beverage experience to feel welcoming, nourishing and memorable. We’re creating a menu that reflects the many ways women move through their days while still delivering the thoughtful hospitality and quality ingredients that are at the heart of everything we do.”
Page and Dez will also design a bespoke event and catering menu capable of supporting the diverse celebrations, milestones, and professional meetings of The Village’s members and guests. In addition, they will curate special culinary programming throughout the year, including member-exclusive dining experiences, chef collaborations, seasonal tastings and ticketed food-focused events.

The Village is designed to be a place where self-care and community come together to inspire confidence, connection, and overall well-being. The club will be a space that blends spa services, beauty treatments, fitness classes, healing amenities, elevated food and drink, nurturing childcare and imaginative programming.
The Village offers a relaxed, supportive environment shaped by real relationships and shared experiences. It is a space designed by women, for women, while remaining open and welcoming to members’ guests and families.
Information about membership details, programming and an opening date will be announced in the coming months. The Village is located between Downtown and Southtown (723 S. Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78204). To join the member waitlist and for more information, visit www.ourvillage.com and follow along on social media at @thevillagesatx and @mimissatx.
