Hotel Valencia Riverwalk Brings Back Popular “Tango in the Courtyard” Packages as the Ideal Way to Enjoy an Evening of Argentinian-Inspired Entertainment
Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is bringing back the “Tango in the Courtyard” room & entertainment package for a limited time this spring.
What:
Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is once again offering “Tango in the Courtyard” room packages as the perfect way to enjoy a relaxing getaway complete with an evening of superb entertainment. On select Friday and Saturday nights, professional tango dancers perform in the center of the hotel’s large third-floor Courtyard. The Courtyard is ringed with deluxe rooms on the third and fourth floor. Guests enjoy the show from their private third floor patio or private fourth floor balcony. This one-of-a-kind experience offers guests an evening of entertainment in a completely socially distanced setting.
When:
The evening’s 7:30-9:30 p.m. performance transports guests to Plaza Dorrego in Buenos Aires, while watching the mesmerizing dance sets and enjoying a bottle of Malbec and Vigilante, a traditional Argentinean cheese dessert. The two-hour performance features a variety of Tango and related Latin dance styles, from the traditional version of ballroom Tango to the more relaxed style of Argentinean street tango. For each set, the dancers wear unique and distinctive outfits.

The “Tango in the Courtyard” room and entertainment package is available on Fridays and Saturdays, beginning Friday, April 15 and running through Saturday, May 21. The Tango entertainment, bottle of Malbec wine and Vigilante cheese platter is also offered as a stand-alone option without a guest room.
The Dancers:
The primary performers are Lindsey Zan and Ricardo Correa. They were named the 2021 U.S. Stage Tango Champions and work as Master Instructors at the Go Dance Studio in Austin.
Tango is a partner and social dance that originated in the 1880s along the Rio de la Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay. Its roots lie in African, Native South American and European cultures. It is one of the world’s most famous partner dances and is renowned for its vibrant and playful style of movement, rich expressions and the passion displayed by the performers.
