Ivy Hall Events New Chef Series, Evenings at Ivy, To Benefit Non-Profits: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society & Heard
Ivy Hall Events, located at 1127 S. St. Mary’s St., San Antonio, TX 78210, is set to host their inaugural Evenings at Ivy, a modern & chic picnic style food festival chef series that will feature 7 Top Chefs from Texas on Sunday, April 11th from 4pm to 8pm, with all proceeds directly benefiting nonprofits, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, as well as Heard – a wellness program for men & women in the food and beverage service industry.
Prominent local Chef and owner of Ivy Hall, Tim the Girl Catering, and The Good Kind, Tim McDiarmid has teamed up with 6 of Texas’s Top Chefs for her Evenings at Ivy event. This new Chef series will take place in Ivy Hall’s spacious garden lounge. Experience a modern, chic, picnic style food festival with music provided by the Chris Cuevas Project on Sunday, April 11th from 4pm to 8pm.
CHEF LINE UP
Chef Tim McDiarmid – Canadian by birth, San Antonian by choice. Chef Tim The Girl is a master of farm to table cuisine & owner of Tim The Girl Catering, and The Good Kind.
Chef Jaime Gonzalez – Jaime Gonzalez has been working side-by-side with Hotel Emma’s Culinary Director, Chef John Brand since 2007 and is now the Executive Chef at Supper.
Chef Luca Della Casa – Born and raised in Torino, Italy – Chef Luca Della Casa went from busboy, to runner up on The Next Food Network Star. He is a partner in the Silo Elevated Cuisine Restaurant Group, and owner of Nonna Osteri.
Chef Cassie Ramsey – Trained at the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Cassie Ramsey, is passionate about learning and exploring new flavors when cooking.
Chef Jessie “Kirk” Kuykendall – Chef Jessie “Kirk” Kuykendall is the founder of Milpa Food Truck & Catering,
Chef Sonya Cote – Chef Sonya Cote hails from Austin, Texas & is a 2019 James Beard Foundation’s Women’s Entrepreneurial Program fellow. She is the founder of Eastside Showroom, Hillside Farmacy, and Eden West.
Chef Alex Paredes – Founder Carnitas Lonja, Chef Alex Peredes, was a semifinalist for the James Beard Award: Best Chef – Texas.

Tickets are all inclusive, complete with tastes from each Chef’s booth, plus beer, wine, and cocktails. General Admission starts at $175 per person, while VIP Tickets are $250 per person. VIP admission is limited, but allows for early admission and reserved seating.
A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, of which Chef Tim McDiarmid is participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Women of The Year philanthropic competition. McDiarmid lost her best friend Gabrielle to cancer, leaving behind a three year old child. While this loss was extremely hard on McDiarmid, it has motivated her to help in the fight to cure cancer. The remaining portion will be donated to the local non-profit organization Heard, a wellness program for men & women in the food and beverage service industry.
