The Dooryard, San Antonio’s First Self Serve Taproom Introduces Brunch
San Antonio’s first self serve taproom, The Dooryard, located at 4503 De Zavala Road, will now be offering an exciting Sunday brunch starting March 14th from 10am-2pm.
The Dooryard brunch menu will feature nostalgic classics like Biscuits smothered in a homemade Sausage Gravy, an elevated take on French Toast and the southern staple, Shrimp & Grits. For those that want something on the lighter side, a Fritada & Kale Salad will also be on the menu. Chef Phil Carden is excited to add a new menu to The Dooryard’s existing lineup of delicious dinner options. Guests will have the opportunity to pour themselves a glass of their favorite craft brew, or indulge in mimosas to accompany their meal.
The taproom itself features a tapwall with a constantly rotating menu of 30 craft beers from all over Texas, as well as a unique to San Antonio self service model, which allows guests to serve their own beer straight from the tap wall without having to engage a server. Their large dog friendly patio, and easy going family vibe has made this craft beer joint a popular hangout spot for locals since its opening in December of 2020. Owner, Jason Meredith, wanted to create a fun bar experience with a Covid friendly concept that appealed to the ever growing craft beer crowd.
The Dooryard’s hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 1pm-12am, and Sunday from 10am-10pm.
The Dooryard has paired up with the Austin based Texas Keeper Craft Ciders for a special release of their Stillage Cider on Saturday, March 20th at 6:30pm.
This bourbon barrel aged cider is an extremely limited release by the brewery, with only 4 kegs produced. The Dooryard, excited to have snagged a keg of this unique brew, has planned a “Tapping Party” to celebrate the release. With notes of melon, strawberry, vanilla, and almond, this cider has been aged for two years in bourbon barrels creating a unique and subtle oak flavor that perfectly pairs and enhances the apple notes.
On Saturday, March 20th at 6:30pm, the taproom will be tapping into this rare brew with a representative from Texas Keeper on hand to celebrate the event with swag & samples for guests to enjoy. In celebration of the new brew, The Dooryard will be cooking up a delicious Bahn Mi Sandwich that plays off the sweet tasting notes present in the cider.
The Dooryard staff would like to invite patrons to join them for this special occasion and get a taste of this unique cider for themselves before it’s gone. Guests can also come by for a bite and a brew Tuesday through Saturday from 1pm-12am and Sundays from 10am-10pm. Brunch is available every Sunday from 10am-2pm.
