Much Anticipated Chilaquil Announces Opening Date of Oct 7

Popular San Antonio Food Truck Opens First Brick and Mortar at Pearl’s Food Hall – All offerings will be available for patio service or carryout

Pearl is excited to announce the opening date for its latest restaurant at the Bottling DepartmentChilaquil – a concept focused on traditional Mexican fare and chilaquiles. Opening on Wednesday, October 7, this will be Chilaquil’s first brick and mortar location, moving from its food truck operations. The new restaurant furthers Pearl’s mission to incubate talent in the San Antonio community by creating spaces for local chefs to grow their offerings and test out new menus all while providing delicious options for Pearl visitors. Chilaquil builds inspiration from the traditional Mexican fare of chilaquiles, enhancing the culinary experience at Pearl. Chilaquil is a concept by husband-and-wife team Orlando and Susana Aguirre, who are originally from Mexico. Chilaquil’s menu offers traditional Mexican street and comfort food fare, with its focus being chilaquiles. Chilaquiles are a Mexican comfort food consisting of tortilla chips covered in salsa, cheese, and more. Chilaquil offers more elaborate versions of this traditional dish that also includes choice of beans, eggs, avocado, chicken, steak, pork, and nopalitos. Additionally, the restaurant offers tortas, mollettes, tacos, quesadillas, and other snacks. The menu will be priced between $3 and $12. All Chilaquil’s offerings will be available to enjoy on the Bottling Department’s patio or for carryout.
