La Tienda de Birria Pop-Up Takes Place at Cherrity Bar on Oct 4th for National Taco Day
I’m excited that the first La Tienda de Birria pop up at Cherrity Bar will take place this coming Sunday October 4 from 12-3.
La Tienda de Birria is the newest authentic culinary experience from Chef Ernie Bradley of Kuriya @ Cherrity Bar. The new food truck concept is set to open at 923 N. New Braunfels before the end of the year. Cherrity Bar’s full bar offerings will be available for the pop-up so you can enjoy your tacos with a cold beverage of choice.
After Chef Ernie and his business partner David Malley traveled to Mexico several times over the past year, they were inspired by the rich flavors and communal meal birria created. Quickly the concept of the La Tienda de Birria food truck was born. Chef has been perfecting his recipes and did his first public pop-up at Dorçol Distilling on September 19th.
For the pop-up at Cherrity Bar on Sunday 10/4, we will be serving adobo-braised oyster mushrooms, dorados de frijoles (crispy grilled corn tortilla filled with caramelized onions & beans) drizzled with queso fresco and house-made crema, a quesataco (crispy grilled corn tortilla stuffed with braised goat and cheeses) and birria. Subject to change and all while supplies last. Reservations are not required but are strongly recommended to ensure food.
The permanent location for La Tienda de Birria is at 930 N. New Braunfels and is set to open before the end of November.
What better way to celebrate #nationaltacoday than with a cold beer and a quesataco in hand?!For those that don’t know, a quesataco is crispy grilled corn tortilla stuffed with braised goat and cheeses. We will be serving from 12-3 or until we run out of food!! Reservations aren’t required but are recommended to guarantee availability – call Cherrity Bar (210-598-0496) to make your reservations.
