Locally Owned McDonald’s Restaurants will Focus on Employee and Customer Wellness and Archways to Opportunity Benefits in June Hiring

The McDonald’s Drive Thrus are open, eager to serve, and making customer and employee well-being their number one priority.

Local McDonald’s restaurant dining rooms will eventually reopen and to help meet the demand and change, they are actively seeking those motivated for new opportunities that offer room for advancement, tuition assistance, and English as a Second Language.

First and foremost, McDonald’s Owner/Operators are acting with a sense of urgency to provide a healthy work environment so employees can feel good about coming to work each day. With new and extensive measures in place, the well-being of employees and guests will take precedence to help offer a healthy, secure, and reliable work environment.

“Safety comes first. Plain and simple, we are making it our mission to offer a healthy workplace for all our employees. While we’ve always adhered to the strictest standards, now more than ever we’re putting in the extra resources and steps to go beyond what’s expected, such as providing masks and gloves to all employees, increasing the number of times employees wash their hands per hour, and adhering to social distancing guidelines in the kitchen and open dining rooms. Our employees are like family and we will always put their well-being at the top of our list,” observes McDonald’s Owner/Operator Cindi Ferguson.

These steps include employee wellness checks; taking temperatures before, during and after a work schedule; industrial-strength cleaning at regular intervals.

McDonald’s signature employee program, Archways to Opportunity, includes tuition assistance of up to $2,500 per year for crew and $3,000 per year for managers. To date, the Archways to Opportunity program has increased access to education for more than 24,000 McDonald’s employees in the United States. Additional benefits include flexible hours and a competitive starting wage with room and opportunity for long-term growth and advancement.
