Chef Tim McDiarmid, a James Beard Fellow & Owner of The Good Kind in Southtown, Launches New Non-Profit “Be The Good Kind”
James Beard Fellow, Chef Tim McDiarmid aka Tim The Girl in collaboration with Heather O’neill, is launching a new non-profit featuring a coalition of like minded female small business owners joining forces to bring good food to good people.
Tim McDairmid, the Culinary Director, Owner & Operator of The Good Kind Hospitality group which includes The Good Kind Southtown, Ivy Hall, and Tim The Girl Catering, has teamed up with Heather O’neill of Sweat Equity and Cryofit to launch “Be The Good Kind”.
Their mission is to feed front line medical workers in San Antonio while also supporting female owned small businesses. Partners currently include Your Sassy Chef, Smart Barre, Feliz Modern, Frost 321°, Foundation Culinary, Slab Cinema, Cryofit, The Good Kind, and Sweat Equity.
With the purchase of a gift card to any of these businesses 15% of the sale will go to the Be The Good Kind Fund, which will be used to deliver healthy, immune-boosting meals from The Good Kind, Foundation Culinary & Sassy Chef Heather directly to hospitals for the doctors and nurses.
Be The Good Kind provides the unique opportunity for individuals to support not only health care workers but also your local economy with just one purchase. You can support Be The Good Kind by visiting them at their website www.bethegoodkind.com where you can find all participating partners as well as donate directly to the cause.
