This Valentine’s Day Raise a Glass to Your True Love with Hornitos Tequila

As Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching, we are constantly reminded of the significant relationships within our lives, or lack there-of. Whether you’re celebrating with a loved-one or protesting the holiday with friends, cocktails are a Valentine’s Day necessity. Hornitos Tequila is here to help you raise a glass during this season of love, regardless of relationship status. Indulge yourself in a Mint Chocolate Black Barrel before you crack open a box of heart-shaped chocolates, or enjoy a Tequila Bee’s Knees over a romantic dinner.

Included below are the recipes for both of these Cupid-calling cocktails, which you are guaranteed to fall in love with.

Mint Chocolate Black Barrel

  • 1 ½ parts Hornitos® Black Barrel® Tequila
  • ¾ part chocolate liqueur
  • 2 dashes Angostura® bitters
  • Mint leaves
  • Strawberry

Preparation: Lightly muddle 3-5 mint leaves in a shaker. Add remainder of ingredients into the shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a strawberry.

Tequila Bee’s Knees

Hornitos Tequila true love
  • 1 ½ parts Hornitos® Reposado Tequila
  • ¾ part fresh lemon juice
  • ½ part fresh cranberry juice
  • ½ part honey
  • Maraschino cherry
  • Lemon twist

Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry and a lemon twist.
