The Farm-to-Fork Restaurant, Whiskey Cake, Introduces New Dishes, Desserts and Drinks for the Winter Season
Whiskey Cake, the neighborhood restaurant known for its farm-to-fork menu has added new menu items just in time for the chilly winter season. The brunch, lunch and dinner menus have new appetizers, entrees, salads, sandwiches, dessert, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
The brunch menu includes new additions such as the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes topped with Cream Cheese Icing and Candied Pecans; and Grandma’s Overnight Oats – ask the server for the flavor of the day. Weekend brunch is offered at Whiskey Cake every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
New seasonal appetizers to share with the table include Thick Cut Candied Bacon– Sweet and Spicy Duroc Bacon, Caramelized Onion Dip and Pickled Vegetables and Roasted Butternut – Turmeric Hummus – Roasted Squash, Local Olive Oil, Gremolata, Vegetable Crudité or Grilled Sourdough.
Enjoy winter-inspired entrees, sandwiches and salads on the lunch and dinner menu such as Grilled Mauritius Redfish– served with Harvest Squash Roast, Red Onion, Cauliflower and Browned Butter Aioli; Cauliflower-Browned Butter Soup – Roasted Cauliflower, Bacon and Chives; Crispy Chickpea Salad– Artichoke, Kale, Sweety Drops, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Mint, Cilantro, Turmeric-Almond Vinaigrette; and Pickled Rachel– Wagyu Pastrami, Muenster Cheese, Pickled Cabbage Slaw, Comeback Sauce, Local Mustard.
Two new entrees grace the dinner menu, pairing perfectly with the cooler temperatures; Lamb T-Bones– Red Chile Jack Grits, Spicy Green Tomato Pickles and Garlic Grilled Ribeye– Charred Broccoli, Candied Cashews, Parmesan, Lemon Zest.
To accompany Whiskey Cake’s seasonal fare, the restaurant has rolled out new craft cocktails as well. Cocktails include Tara-Gone Girl– Russell’s Reserve 10 Year, St. Elizabeth Allspire Dram, Tarragon Syrup, Blackberry, Lemon; Fall Roast– Evan William’s 1783 Bourbon, Giffard Apricot Liqueur, Grind Espresso Liqueur, Maple Chai Syrup; South Cider– Vodka, Roasted Pecan Syrup, Apple Cider, Lemon, Cinnamon; Hawaiian Holiday– New Amsterdam Gin, Lemon, Pineapple, Guava, Mint, Simple Syrup, Fever Tree Ginger Beer.
Non-alcoholic drink additions include Ollie Ollie Oxidant– Blueberries, Pineapple, Vanilla Almond Milk, Lemon, Cinnamon and their beloved Housemade Hot Cocoa is back.
