Specialty Cocktails Inspired by the Prohibition & a 1930’s Speakeasy Whiskey Cake is the Best Place to Celebrate Repeal Day
WHAT: Whiskey Cake is throwing it back to 1933 with a Repeal Day celebration fit for the occasion! On Thursday, December 5th, Whiskey Cake will feature drink specials from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with ‘30s themed fun to make guests feel as if they’ve stepped back in time to the historical celebration.
The restaurant will feature $10 classic cocktails including an Old Fashioned, Sazerac, Manhattan and 1933 made with Fords Gin, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Vanilla Orgeat and Fresh Lemon Juice. Beginning at. 9 p.m., these cocktails will drop down to $5. The Save the Barrels Flight includes four Whiskey Cake barrel select whiskeys and is $19.33 for the day. Guests that have this flight on their table at 5:32 p.m. (the time the amendment was signed) they will receive a free Whiskey Cake!
As guests walk up to Whiskey Cake, they’ll feel as if they are walking into a 1930’s speakeasy. Entertainment will include vintage fun such as being greeted by flappers and gangsters upon arrival. A GIF photobooth as well as a polaroid photographer will be awaiting to snap photos of guests while celebrating the repeal of the prohibition! Guests can also wear their best vintage looks for the occasion! To further add to the vintage feel, a barbershop quartet will add to the fun with their harmonious tones. *Entertainment varies by location.
