Lyft Partners with Day of the Dead San Antonio To Offer Festival-Goers Rideshare Incentive
As Alamo City residents take to the streets to experience Day of the Dead San Antonio, Lyft is activating its Ride Smart program and making it easier for festival-goers to celebrate responsibly and for a good cause.
New and existing Lyft users can enter the Smart Ride promo code DAYOFDEAD19 to receive 25% off two rides (up to $2 per ride) to and from the festival beginning Nov. 1 at 11 AM through Nov. 4 at 12 AM.
“We are excited to partner with Lyft to make it even easier for everyone to enjoy Day of the Dead San Antonio,” said Javier Ruiz Galindo, president and CEO of Day of the Dead San Antonio. “We encourage everyone who is planning to join us at the Catrinas on the River Parade and the Day of the Dead San Antonio Festival in La Villita to plan ahead and call a Lyft ride.”
Lyft will match up to $1,000 of the proceeds collected from each ride using the DAYOFDEAD19 promo code with a donation to the Children’s Rehabilitation Institute of TeletonUSA (CRIT), a local San Antonio pediatric rehabilitation facility that offers services to children and families with neurological, muscular, and skeletal disabilities.
“Through our Ride Smart program, we’re encouraging riders to leave their keys at home and opt to use Lyft to get to and from Day of the Dead San Antonio festivities in a smart and reliable way,” said Janet Peavy, Lyft General Manager, San Antonio and Houston. “And we are delighted to support the important work CRIT is doing for our community and all of those in their care.”
