Stella Rosa Wines Day of the Dead San Antonio

Day of the Dead, also known as Dia de los Muertos, a Mexican holiday that has grown in popularity, combines ancient indigenous traditions with Christian-influenced observances. This multi-day holiday involves family and friends who gather to pray and remember loved ones who have passed on to the spirit world. It is believed that on these days, the souls of the deceased return to earth to be with their families and loved ones, who in turn, remember how the deceased lived by setting up an altar with photographs, the deceased’s favorite foods and drinks, and other artistic displays to celebrate the life they lived. While observances vary in different areas, costumes, body paint and the imagery of skulls and bones are traditional elements that people use to mark the holiday.

Once upon a time, two lovers met.
And each night as the sun would set,
They’d Stellabrate® life without regret.
They’d sing, dance and rejoice,
Alongside their drink of choice.
Now they lay to rest,
Still craving what they know best.
Once a year, they arise and stay,
Until they get their fix of Stella Rosa Rose. *
