Shake Shack is Celebrating Frozen Custard Day with a FREE Custard Scoop

Here’s the scoop! In celebration of National Frozen Custard Day this Thursday, August 8, Shake Shack guests can use code “CUSTARDDAY” on the Shack App or order.shakeshack.com to score a free single scoop of Shake Shack’s signature vanilla or chocolate frozen custard at any U.S. Shack (excluding ballparks, stadiums + airports) with a minimum order of $5. Sign into your account, add the scoop to your cart and apply the code at checkout!

Custard, which is made from milk, cream, and egg yolks has been on the Shake Shack menu since their first location. Their founder Danny Meyer grew up in St. Louis, frequenting iconic frozen custard spots (they were a staple in the Midwest) and knew that it needed a prime place on Shake Shack’s menu! Today Shacks serve rich + creamy custard by the scoop, in shakes + in concretes worldwide.

Shake Shack’s dense, rich and creamy frozen custard is the real deal – spun fresh daily at the Shack! Their vanilla and chocolate recipes use only real sugar, no corn syrup, and milk from dairy farmers who pledge not to use artificial growth hormones. Their fudge sauce and caramel sauce have zero shelf-life lengtheners. They dare you not to like it.

About Shake Shack

Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. The cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers.

In 2004, a permanent kiosk opened in the park: Shake Shack was born. This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more. An instant neighborhood fixture, Shake Shack welcomed people from all over the city, country and world who gathered together to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics in a majestic setting. The rest, as they say, is burger history.
