The World is Being “Chilified” Thanks to JD’s Chili Parlor Products
JD’s Chili Parlor, a gourmet chili-focused artisan food company and caterer, is happy to announce their new line of “chilified” products, including a heritage chili paste, gourmet chili fixin’sand enchilada sauces. These one-of-a-kind Americana fusions were inspired by the historic Chili Queens, who invented chili in JD’s Chili Parlor’s hometown of San Antonio, Texas.
Now, modern day Chili Queen, Diana Anderson, along with her husband and co-owner, John Anderson, are bringing chili back to the culinary forefront and illustrating, with their new products, how incredibly versatile these flavors can be.
They can be used as a cooking sauce, marinade or glaze, for example. Diana loves to make a barbecue sauce using the fixin’s or enchilada sauces for incredible pork or beef ribs. They can easily be used to create a piquant burger or Asian dumplings. Point being, the sky’s the limit on what you can do with these new products.
“I’m so excited and honored to have created a heritage paste, the foundation of all of our products, and live the life of a Chili Queen,” says Diana Anderson. “To be able to engage the community about the history of chili and to have that wonderful interaction with all of San Antonio is really why we do it.”
Diana and John started their business in 2015, serving gourmet chili in fresh fried hash brown bowls at farmers markets and events, building a following of folks who travel miles and miles for a good “bowl of red.”
JD’s Chili Parlor officially launched their product line in March of this year, which includes: A five-pepper Gourmet Chili Paste, Original Chili Fixin’s, Pecan-Smoked Whiskey Chili Fixin’s, Red Wine Blackberry Chili Fixin’s, Prickly Pear Tequila Chili Fixin’s, Hatch Bock Beer Chili Fixin’s, Original Red Enchilada Sauce, Pecan-Smoked Whiskey Enchilada Sauce, Red Wine Blackberry Enchilada Sauce, Prickly Pear Tequila Enchilada Sauce and Hatch Bock Beer Enchilada Sauce.
While the Gourmet Chili Paste is primarily intended for chefs and home cooks, the other products can used by anyone to make a quick, delicious and healthful meal, just by adding their favorite meat or veggies.
Currently, their products can be found at the Larder at Hotel Emma, Smoke Shack Meat Market and online at Farmhouse Delivery (farmhousedelivery.com). They are expanding fast, so they recommend interested customers visit their Facebook for updates and sit back and watch as they chilify the world!
