The Majestic Theatre Announces July Programming with Music, Lights, Comedy & YouTube Stars
San Antonio’s downtown historic theatres, The Majestic Theatre and Charline McCombs Empire Theatre, are excited to announce its July programming including live music, comedians and light shows.
The Majestic Theatre celebrated its 90th anniversary this June and will continue celebrating with live events and its recently launched happy hour tours this month. Guests can beat the heat and enjoy performances from notable acts including The Try Guys, Michael McDonald and John Leguizamo.
Michael McDonald: July 10 at 8 p.m.
As part of the Bud Light Concert Series at the Majestic Theatre, Michael McDonald will bring his talents to San Antonio. With a career that encompasses five Grammys, numerous chart successes and personal and professional accolades, as well as collaborations with some of the world’s most prominent artists, Michael McDonald remains an enduring force in popular music. His solo career took off with a string of hits including “I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near),” “Sweet Freedom,” “On My Own” (with Patti LaBelle) and the Grammy-winning James Ingram duet “Yah Mo B There.” Tickets start at $49.50.
The Try Guys: Legends of the Internet: July 19 at 7:30 p.m.
The Try Guys were established in 2014 and launched an independent YouTube channel in 2018. They now have over 5.8 million YouTube subscribers and over 2 billion views. Keith Habersberger, Ned Fulmer, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang are known for their willingness to try anything and everything, from simulating childbirth with electrodes to swimming with sharks, all in the name of better understanding the people and world around them. Visitors to the Majestic will have the chance to see their electric live show this summer! Tickets start at $34.
ARTS San Antonio: Lightning and Lasers Live: July 20 at 7:30 p.m.
When the lights go down, a loud buzz generates, followed by streaks of lightning into the air. ARTS San Antonio’s Lightning and Lasers Live features an exciting laser light show timed to music. Tickets start at $29.
Latin History for Morons: July 27 at 8 p.m. and July 28 at 7:30 p.m.
The Majestic Theatre welcomes John Leguizamo to its stage for his wildly popular one man show, Latin History for Morons. The Emmy Award winning actor will bring his comedic and enlightening performance to San Antonio this July 27 and July 28. Tickets start at $39.50.
Chicago Live in Concert: July 30 at 8 p.m.
The Grammy Award winning rock and roll band with horns, Chicago, will play live at the Majestic Theatre on July 30. Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era,” Chicago will perform some of their greatest hits while in the San Antonio. This performance is part of the Bud Light Concert Series at the Majestic Theatre. Tickets start at $49.50.
