Sound the Horns for the 36th Annual Jazz’SAlive with Bohanan’s and the San Antonio Parks Foundation
Swing into Bohanan’s to toast Jazz’SAlive and hear the line-up for the San Antonio Parks Foundation’s 36th annual celebration of all things jazz, during a cocktail reception on Tuesday, June 11th, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood. The City of San Antonio’s official jazz festival, Jazz’SAlive will fill historic Travis Park with music September 20th and 21st.
You can’t toast without the perfect cocktail, so “Take Five” and raise a glass to Jazz’SAlive. Crafted by the talented mixologists at Bohanan’s, “Take Five” hits all the right notes with El Jimador Reposado Tequila, paired with orange and lime juice and grena-dine for a cocktail as smooth as the jazz that will fill Travis Park during this year’s Jazz’SAlive. “Take Five” is $10, with partial pro-ceeds benefitting the San Antonio Parks Foundation.

This year’s event will include new culinary delights, an after party on both Friday and Saturday evenings, a master class for students, and fun new cocktails. The event also features a Saturday Brunch in the Park. And it’s all for a good cause: proceeds support improvements to parks throughout San Antonio, including improved lighting, exercise equipment, and park programming for the entire community.
Bohanan’s soundtrack of jazz standards, often provided by live bands entertaining everyone enjoying hand-crafted cocktails at the Bar at Bohanan’s, is part of what has made Bohanan’s a fix-ture on San Antonio’s Houston Street since 2002. The restaurant champions San Antonio through both business and philan-thropic efforts, routinely working with organizations like the San Antonio Parks Foundation to help the city maintain its vibrant, colorful atmosphere for years to come. Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood is one of the sponsors of this year’s Jazz’SAlive.
Some might wonder how Bohanan’s commitment to community service gives its culinary experience an edge, but when you do everything with heart, it shows. Bohanan’s dedication to both guest and community service, its authentic concern for the San Antonio community and its genuine desire to give back by providing only the best to the community and to its guests, combine to create the not-so-secret recipe behind the restaurant’s success.
