Cinderella at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts with Children’s Ballet of San Antonio
WHAT: The award-winning Children’s Ballet of San Antonio presents its latest production, the magical story of Cinderella. The performance marks the company’s exciting debut at the Tobin Center for Performing Arts and its eighth production to date. Cast members bring to life the enchantment of this classic story, complete with a wicked step-mother, clumsy step-sisters, a fairy-godmother, and of course a handsome prince. Cinderella features a talented cast of nearly 200 young artists, ranging in age from 3 to 19 and includes internationally acclaimed classical dancers, gifted special needs artists, and many other exceptional young children.
WHO: Under the instruction of Artistic Director, Vanessa Bessler, The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio has rapidly elevated the city’s standing in the arts since first opening its doors in June 2015 bringing home an impressive array of regional, national and international “firsts” for San Antonio from the most prestigious ballet competitions worldwide.
Ballet and performing arts lovers, parents, grandparents, and children of all ages won’t want to miss this full-length production based on the classical ballet, Cinderella and set to the original score by Prokofiev.
