Lyft 2019 Fiesta Medal Proceeds Raise Funds for Dignowity Park Project

Next, Lyft and the San Antonio Parks Foundation have joined forces to raise funds for the Dignowity Park Project. The much-anticipated project will improve a 9-acre public park in the Eastside Promise Zone bringing a new picnic area, a new playground, a fresh basketball court, a new splash pad, an event lawn, a new dog park, and more.

All proceeds from the Lyft 2019 Fiesta medal will help fund basic access and digital equity at Dignowity Park through shade structures, modern seating, and WiFi. Medals can be purchased for $10 at the Lyft San Antonio Driver Support Center, located at 8610 Broadway Street, Ste. 240 or online for $12 which includes shipping and handling.

“The Dignowity Park Project is a rare one for our community in that there is basically unanimous support for these improvements. The closure of Burnet Street and reconnection of the two parks is a potent metaphor for uniting our community on common ground to move beyond what divides us,”  said Nicolas Rivard, Director of Public Space East.
