Krause’s Café & Biergarten is hosting a variety of spring events throughout April including the second annual ‘Spring Fashion Plate,’ a runway fashion show and luncheon in partnership with the New Braunfels Downtown Association. Krause’s Café will also host a wine pairing dinner with Duckhorn Vineyardsand a crawfish boil featuring Karbach Brewing Co. Below is a list of exciting April happenings at Krause’s Café & Biergarten.
Thursday, April 4
New Braunfels Downtown Association, Krause’s Café and Huisache Grill present Spring Fashion Plate: a downtown lunch and style show collaboration. Chef Jeremy ‘Boomer’ Acuna of Krause’s Café & Biergarten has curated a special spring themed menu for the luncheon. Huisache Grill is an intimate and casual restaurant serving creative contemporary cuisine – with fresh regional ingredients.
Extensive wine and beer list
Mimosas and dessert by Huisache Grill will follow the lunch. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. and includes a runway show flaunting local fashion from downtown New Braunfels boutiques. Local celebrity and KNBT Radio Personality, Tiffany Mayne will emcee the event. The Fashion Plate will close with a sidewalk sale from local shops and swag bags, makeovers and more will be available. Sunday, April 7
Happy National Beer Day! The biergarten at Krause’s is the top place to celebrate the South Texas beer scene, offering over 70 beers on tap. Patrons have their pick of local favorites like Seguin Brewing 9 Pin Kolsch or Karbach Crawford Bock and giant German steins of Hofbrau and Warsteiner.
Friday, April 19
A crawfish boil featuring Karbach Brewing Co. will takeover the biergarten beginning at 6 p.m. Prices are $15 for 1lb and $25 for 2lb of crawfish. The boil will include crawfish, corn, sausage and potatoes plus live music from Pete & Sean Williams.
Tuesday, April 30
Krause’s Cafe & Biergarten is partnering with Duckhorn Vineyards to host a specialty wine paired dinner on Tuesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. The vino-centric event will highlight various dishes created by Chef “Boomer” Acuna including Beefchetta. Each course will be specialty paired with a select Duckhorn wine. The restaurant will have a prix fixe four-course menu to be announced.
